Sunday Morning Casserole

Recipe from the kitchen of Dorothy Jacobs.
- 8 slices Pepperidge Farm bread
- 3/4 lb. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 2 lb. sausage (1 lb. hot, 1 lb. regular)
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 Tablespoon dry mustard
- 2-1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 can mushroom soup
Directions:
- Prepare the night before serving. Fry and crumble the sausage.
- Remove crusts and cube bread.
- Put a layer of bread in greased casserole. Add a layer of cheese and one of sausage.
- Beat eggs, mustard, milk and salt and pour over layers.
- Let stand in refrigerator overnight.
- In morning add enough milk to soup to make smooth. Spread on casserole and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Serves 6-8.
