Shelby's Taco Bake

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • Tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (Mexican or cheddar work well)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 
  2. Brown the ground beef and drain if necessary. Add the sour cream, water, and seasoning to the pan. Mix and let simmer for 5-10 minutes. 
  3. Layer tortilla chips on the bottom of a greased 9"x13" pan. Add half of the meat mixture, then add half of the cheese. Repeat layers. 
  4. Bake for 20 minutes (or until cheese is melted). 
  5. You can also add diced tomatoes, chilies, rice, beans, corn, or anything else you like in your tacos.
