Pull-Apart Pigs in Blankets

  • 2 8-ounce tubes refrigerated crescent-roll dough
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 12-ounce package cocktail franks
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
  • shredded cheddar cheese

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment. Unroll dough and brush with mustard. Cut each triangle in half to create 2 triangles.
  2. Place 1 frank on wide end of triangle, then roll up and place on prepared sheet (place first 2 franks at 12 and 6 o-clock to help in arranging evenly). Repeat with remaining franks and triangles, arranging in 2 concentric circles (starting second circle at 12 and 6 o'clock again), making sure dough on both circles touches.
  3. Beat egg with 1 tablespoon water, brush over dough and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake until golden brown, 18 to 22 minutes. Before the last few minutes, sprinkle the shredded cheese on top and put back in the oven to melt.
  4. Serve with mustard.
